Emergency accommodation

The Emergency Accommodation Service (EASe) is a statewide, out-of-hours telephone service for people who are homeless and have nowhere to sleep that night.

Who is this service for?

EASe can assist people out of 'usual business hours'. During normal business hours contact our ACCESS service.

How can EASe help?

  • Provides a telephone assessment of your situation
  • Can arrange crisis accommodation at a shelter, hotel or motel until the next 'working day'.

Is there a cost?

This is a free service.

Further details

EASe can only provide assistance to people who have nowhere to sleep that night. Those assisted will need to follow up with one of the 'day services' to discuss long-term housing and accommodation options.

Contact information

EASe can be contacted by calling 1800 800 588.

The service is available 5 pm to 9 am Monday to Friday or 24 hours on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays.
