Support and Counselling

KIDS

KIDS is a home-visiting program for families with babies and young children. It is available on the North West Coast.

KIDS stands for Kind Individuals Delivering Support.

Who is this service for?

Parents of children aged 0-5 years.

How can KIDS help?

This program provides support by:

  • explaining the different stages of your child's growth and development
  • working with you to find ways to respond to the changing needs of your growing child
  • helping to identify services that can provide further information and assistance
  • listen to any worries you may have

How does it work?

A trained volunteer will visit you at home. They live in the same area as you and know the local community and its services. These volunteers have completed a training course and are supported by Anglicare. The 'community parent' volunteer will call on you once or twice a fortnight. You can make contact with the coordinator by phone at other times.

Cost?

KIDS is a free service.
