How do I contact Anglicare over Christmas and into the New Year?

At Anglicare, we’re committed to supporting our clients over the Christmas period and into the New Year. Our phone line and offices will remain open on weekdays unless it is a public holiday.
You can contact us on our freecall phone number, 1800 243 232 and/or visit an Anglicare office in person between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. Monday through to Friday except for the following public holidays:
- Monday 27 December 2021 (a substitute for Christmas Day, which falls on a Saturday.)
- Tuesday 28 December 2021 (a substitute for Boxing Day, which falls on a Sunday.)

What if I have a housing emergency?
The Housing Connect service will be available throughout this time, including on public holidays. If you have nowhere safe to sleep, please call 1800 800 588 (freecall) and an on-call Housing Specialist will respond.
What if I need help with my finances?
The National Debt Helpline (freecall 1800 007 007) is available Monday to Friday between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. except for the public holidays on Monday 27 December and Tuesday 28 December 2021.
What if I need support for alcohol and/or drug use?
The Anglicare Alcohol and other Drugs Helpline operates between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on weekdays, not including public holidays. The number to ring is 1800 161 266.
