Tasmanians for Refugees
Tasmanians for Refugees is a coalition of individuals who are concerned about the plight of people seeking refugee status in Australia. It was formed in August 2001 as we watched the human rights of the asylum seekers on the HMV Tampa be ignored while our leaders pursued political goals.

Tasmanians for Refugees supports and campaigns for people on temporary visas who are waiting for decisions on whether or not they are entitled to permanent protection.
