Anglicare Tasmania can support your day to day living

We have a large team of skilled, experienced and passionate support professionals who can support you to do the things you love, while maintaining your independence and achieving your life goals.

The services we provide that fall under the current National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funded Support categories are:

  • Core Supports – Assistance with Daily Life
  • Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living Skills
  • Core Supports – Assistance with Social and Community participation
  • Capacity Building – Increased Social and Community Participation

Our supports

Our daily living supports can help people with a disability to build independence and learn the skills we use in everyday life.

These supports include:

  • Showering and dressing
  • Taking your medications
  • Cooking and cleaning.

No matter what activities you enjoy, our team can provide the social and community participation supports you choose, based on your interests and what you enjoy most.

These supports include:

  • Joining a club, playing sport or going to the gym
  • Try dancing, fishing, photography or painting
  • Becoming a volunteer
  • Joining a community garden
  • The choice is yours!

Health, wellbeing and therapy

Our team of qualified and experienced people can help you achieve your goals for health and wellbeing.

We support people of all ages, and for mental health conditions, that range from mild to severe and complex.

We can provide support for:

  • Food and nutrition management, and meal planning
  • Assisting you to reach your fitness goals
  • Building social skills
  • Accessing therapy or counselling.

We can also support you to develop and learn new skills, and upgrade your current skills. These are goals we all aspire to.

Based on your personal choices, our team can help you achieve your goals through the NDIS. It’s up to you!

You might want to:

  • Study at TAFE or take a cooking class
  • Travel independently by bus
  • Volunteer to help others and build your experience
  • Make the move from school to further education or work
