The East Coast Emergency Relief Service helps people in the Break O’ Day municipality (St Helens, Bicheno and the Fingal Valley) who may be experiencing hardship.
The service provides food and fuel vouchers for people who have experienced an emergency which has prevented them from purchasing essential items. For example – loss of employment, unexpected illness, unexpected expense, unexpected medical appointment in Launceston or Hobart, family violence, storms, floods.
Our practitioners can also help refer people to other services such as Financial Counselling.
This service is by appointment only on Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings each week.
The appointment is conducted over the phone so that clients aren’t required to travel to an office.
