Disability Support Worker - Launceston

Description

Permanent, part-time position working 40 hours per fortnight

Anglicare’s Disability Services deliver person centred care and support for people living with complex acquired injuries and/or disabilities, within the community, in shared homes and facilities. 

We are specifically seeking reliable and motivated staff to work with people in all aspects of their daily living.

Applicants must be prepared to learn the specific tasks and requirements and work together to ensure the persons physical and social support needs are met. Training will be provided.

We currently have a permanent, part-time position working 40 hours per fortnight available in the greater Launceston area. This position requires the applicant to be available for sleepovers, weekend, morning and afternoon shifts.

Applicants must hold a Certificate 3 qualification in a relevant discipline and a willingness to obtain First Aid and Medication endorsement.

The following are essential:

  • a Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment category)
  • a schedule 1 National Police Certificate (no older than 12 months)
  • a valid Driver Licence and reliable transport
