Business Support Officer (Property & Fleet) Hobart

Permanent, full-time
position based in Hobart

 Anglicare Tasmania is
a non-profit organisation providing a wide range of community
services to the people of Tasmania. We are part of the national
Anglicare Australia network of organisations. Anglicare advocates
for social justice and aids people in times of need. We provide
programs relating to health, housing, families, drug and alcohol
treatment and support and more.

The Business Support Officer (Property &
Fleet) assists in supporting Anglicare’s Property and Fleet
work units by:

  • responding to support
    requests relating to maintenance of buildings, office
    equipment, and other property including security, repairs and
    maintenance;
  • undertaking tenancy
    management functions including lease sign ups, condition
    inspections and Notices to Vacate;
  • responding to support
    requests relating to motor vehicles;
  • the support of day-to-day
    insurance matters and claims including liaison with insurers in
    relation to insurance policies and

What you’ll have:

  • Facility and/or Tenancy
    management experience;
  • high level interpersonal
    skills including the ability to effectively engage with service
    users who are homeless or in housing need;
  • knowledge and experience
    at the intermediate computer skills level, particularly in word
    processing, data base management and email
    communications;
  • the ability to work
    individually, under supervision and as part of a team within
    defined instructions and established guidelines and
    procedures.

The successful applicant will be required
to:

  • have a Tasmania Police
    Schedule 1 National Police Certificate (no older than
    12 months and not an annulled record);
  • provide an International
    Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside
    of Australia after the age of 16;
  • have a current Tasmanian
    Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment
    category);
  • undertake a satisfactory
    Anglicare assessed medical

On commencement the successful applicant will
be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children
Training program.
