About us:

Anglicare Tasmania’s
Disability Services team deliver person-centred support for people
living with a disability. The roll out of the NDIS has created even
greater demand for Anglicare’s services so we are recruiting
practitioners that are ready to support the diverse needs of
clients.

About you:

The ideal candidate is a
psychologist with behavioural support experience; however, we are
open to Allied Health graduates (or related degree) who have
experience working with people with disability.

About your new
role:

As part of the disability services
team, you will work closely alongside people living with disability
in order to assist them to achieve their own goals. Your tasks will
include:

  • Completing assessments of client’s abilities and
    needs
  • Developing and assisting with the implementation of
    intervention and support plans
  • Providing therapeutic intervention, either directly or
    through referrals (depending on qualifications)
  • Working closely with other team members and services to
    assist clients to achieve their goals
  • Acting as a consultant around matters relating to quality
    and service

an applicant:

  • Applicants that are physically able – the job
    requires a reasonable level of fitness and a medical assessment
    will be required prior to joining the team
  • Previous experience in disability or aged care is highly
    desirable

Successful applicants must
be willing to provide:

  • A current Working with Vulnerable People Registration
    (employment category)
  • A Schedule 1 National Police Certificate from Tasmania
    Police (no older than 12 months)
  • A valid Driver Licence
