Disability Support Workers

Anglicare’s Disability Services deliver person centred
care and support for people living with complex acquired injuries
and/or disabilities, within the community, shared homes and
We are specifically seeking resilient, reliable and motivated
staff to work with people in all aspects of their daily living.
Successful applicants will have:
- Experience working in an Intensive Support environment
- An ability to understand/follow strategies relating to
Positive Behaviour Support Plans
Applicants must be prepared to learn the specific tasks and
requirements and work together to ensure the persons physical and
social support needs are met. Training will be provided.
There are permanent and casual positions available within our
shared homes program, all based in the greater Hobart area. All
positions require availability of sleepovers, weekends, morning and
Preference will be given to applicants holding a Certificate 3
qualification in a relevant discipline and a willingness to obtain
First Aid and Medication endorsement.
The following are essential:
- a Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment
- a schedule 1 National Police Certificate (no older than 12
- a valid Driver Licence and reliable transport

Successful applicants will be required to undertake a medical
assessment prior to commencement. On commencement the successful
applicants will be required to undertake our structured
Safeguarding Children Training program.
