position located in Hobart

Anglicare Tasmania is a non-profit
organisation providing a wide range of community services to the
people of Tasmania. We are part of the national Anglicare Australia
network of organisations. Anglicare advocates for social justice
and aids people in times of need. We provide programs relating to
health, housing, families, drug and alcohol treatment and support
and more.

About the
position

This position works closely with
and supports the General Manager – Housing and Community
Services in the development of best practice skills and
competencies in staff and providing practice leadership in relation
to:

  • Managing critical incidents
  • Professional consultations to internal and external
    stakeholders
  • Training; general and client specific
  • Conducting assessments
  • Developing interventions and support plans
  • Evaluation and research and strategic service
    planning.

To be successful in this
role, you will have:

  1. A demonstrated ability to provide leadership and support to
    staff in quality and relevant engagement, relationships, and
    support as they relate to professional/practice service
    improvement. This includes knowledge and experience in theories
    and practices associated with professional/practice and
    Services improvement.
  2. The ability to resolve conflict, liaise with staff and
    organisations in both the government and non-government sector
    and promote Anglicare within the community.
  3. Knowledge of quality assurance principles and the ability
    to set performance indicators and similar quality evaluation
    measures. This includes having detailed knowledge of statutory
    requirements in relation to service delivery.
  4. Well-developed research and analytical skills and the
    ability to develop and deliver training and evidence based
    practice while maintaining confidentiality where
    appropriate.
  5. A demonstrated strong commitment to lifelong learning,
    reflective practice and the ability to understand the
    professional support and service improvement needs of
    staff.
  6. Post graduate tertiary qualifications in an allied health
    discipline and at least five years’ experience in the
    field.

  • a Tasmania Police schedule 1
    National Police Certificate (no older than 12 months and
    not an annulled record);

    Vulnerable People Registration (employment category);
  • a pre-employment medical
    assessment prior to commencement.
