SARC Social Action and Research Centre

Here at Anglicare’s Social Action and Research Centre we are committed to a just Tasmania.

A just Tasmania  is a state free of poverty and disadvantage where we all have a decent standard of living. It means people should be able to freely access the information and resources they need.

This will require social change.  For the past 20 years we have undertaken research, policy development and advocacy towards achieving a just Tasmania. We have successfully influenced government and decision-makers to create new services, review and reform existing policy, and improve programs to help Tasmania’s most disadvantaged. We receive no external funding and are wholly independent.

You are also most welcome to subscribe to our  occasional newsletter (i.e. we only send stuff out when we've got new things to share rather than on a regular schedule).

We welcome your interest and feedback.
