We know that the NDIS can seem complex. Anglicare’s professional, experienced team is here to support you - even before you have a plan. We can assist you to:

  • Test your eligibility for the NDIS
  • Prepare for your planning meeting and explore your goals. We can also attend your meetings with the NDIS with you if you would like some support
  • Prepare for the annual review process once you have a plan so that your support remains right for you
  • Ask for a plan review if your support needs change.

Anglicare has been working with people seeking to access the NDIS and people preparing to develop an NDIS plan since the start of the scheme. Our experienced staff can work with you to get the best possible NDIS plan for you.

Our professional and experienced staff will work with you to get the best possible NDIS plan for you. Our staff can assist you to choose the providers that will best meet your needs. We can support you by:

  • Providing information, advice and support to assist you to get the best of your NDIS plan
  • Assisting you to choose and organise the supports you need, and are the best for you in your local area
  • Supporting you to build confidence in talking to service providers
  • Checking in with you to make sure the services supporting you are right for you
  • Assisting you to build skills to manage your NDIS plan yourself


Personal Support

Support with daily living and personal care

If you are eligible for the NDIS, our professional staff can work with you to provide support in your day-to-day life and with self-care, and household jobs. We can also work with you to assist you in building your independence. Anglicare’s services provide value for your money to assist you to make your NDIS plan go further.

We work with you to provide the supports that suit your needs. How we do this will look different for each person but may include support with:

  • Household jobs like cleaning the house or weeding the garden
  • Personal care needs such as getting out of bed, showering or other daily activities
  • Taking your medications
  • Planning and preparing meals, so you eat food you like, and that’s good for you


Finding a Home That's Right For You

Shared and supported living

Finding the right home is a big part of life and an important decision for anyone. At Anglicare, we offer flexible options for you to find the home that’s right for you. We work with you to find the best option based on what you need. This can include:

  • Shared homes
  • Individual units and short-term transitional units
  • Independent living units for young people between 16 and 25
  • Supported residential centres with a focus on improving mental health
  • Long-term communal accommodation for single people and couples with low support needs
  • Assisting you to locate suitable accommodation in the community

We assist residents to create a positive living environment in our shared homes and respond to our residents’ feedback.

Planned time away from your usual support network

Anglicare can provide a range of services for people living with disability to enable their carers to take planned time away knowing that their family member or friend is supported by experienced and well-trained staff.

At Anglicare, we have experienced staff to support people with all kinds of disability, including those with complex needs.

How we provide this support will depend on your individual needs. Anglicare can provide a range of options, which may include support to participate in community activities, support in your home, or support in one of our accommodation options. We can provide support for just a few hours or 24-hour support if needed.


Social and Community Participation

Support for your Social and Community Participation  

Our friendly, highly skilled team can assist people who are eligible for the NDIS to enjoy social activities and connect with the community. Our support will be different, based on what each person wants to do. For example, we can support you to participate in:

  • Social activities and events with family and friends
  • Trying new things or finding people who share your interests. You might want to be part of a community garden, go fishing, learn music, join a club or become a volunteer...the choice is yours
  • Getting out and about. You might like to go to cafes or go to the footy. Some people prefer to go to the movies, or to a concert...the choice is yours

What do you like to do? Whatever it is, our friendly team can provide the supports you choose based on your interests and what you enjoy.


Developing Your Skills

Want to develop your skills further but need some support to do so?

If you are eligible for the NDIS, Anglicare’s friendly support team can assist you to learn new skills or get a job. This will look different for each person based on their choices. You might want to:

  • Study at TAFE or take a cooking class
  • Travel independently by bus
  • Volunteer to help others and build your experience
  • Make the move from school to further education or work
  • Support to find and keep a job

Our friendly team will work with you to support you based on your goals.


Mental Health, Psychosocial Support

Professional Mental Health Support

Anglicare’s professional, experienced team includes staff with the skills and experience to provide mental health support. We offer a range of supports and tailor them to your needs and goals. Anglicare can provide support to:

  • Working with behaviours of concern and developing positive behaviour support plans
  • Remove barriers to participation in education or employment, and
  • Increase your independence

Our team members have expertise in supporting people facing a broad range of life challenges. We can help with money management, family relationships, drug and alcohol misuse, and housing support.

We start by understanding you and what supports you need, and work with you to develop the best support plan for you.


Health, Wellbeing and Therapy

Support to achieve your goals

If you are eligible for the NDIS, Anglicare’s team includes qualified and experienced staff such as psychologists who can assist you to achieve your goals for health and well-being. You can choose from a range of supports and therapies including:

  • Food and nutrition management, and meal planning
  • Assisting you to reach your fitness goals
  • Working with behaviours of concern and developing positive behaviour support plans
  • Building social skills
  • Accessing therapy or counselling
  • Managing anxiety and overcoming trauma
