Choice, professional support and hope
Anglicare has a broad range of services to support you through life challenges and a large team with diverse skills and experience. An Anglicare staff member will match you to a support person from our team who has the training, personality and experience to suit your needs and preferences. We are organised to deliver the support you need in an integrated way that puts you at the centre of the service we provide.
Being mentally and emotionally well
One in five Tasmanians will have a mental illness during their lifetime – it may be you or someone in your family, at work or in your community. Anglicare has a number of services to support people affected by mental illness.
At Anglicare you can choose your support worker to provide you with one on one support from a number of flexible services available to you. Anglicare understands mental wellbeing, because we have been working with individuals, children and families with mental illness for over 20 years. We support people of all ages, including specialised support where a family may have concerns about the mental well being of a child or young person.
As one of Tasmania's most experienced and largest providers of support for people seeking mental health services, Anglicare is registered to provide all available services that are funded under the NDIS.

When habits have become harmful
Anglicare provides a comprehensive range of services to support people whose lives are impacted by alcohol and other drugs and their family or carers.

Free Counselling, Information and Support
If you or your loved ones are affected by gambling, you can access the Gamblers Help service. You can receive free personal or family counselling and group support. You can learn strategies to help yourself or others get a grip on their gambling.
Gambling can quickly get out of control. The odds are against you and in the long run, you'll never get ahead. It's designed that way.
If you'd like to arrange a self-exclusion order barring you from gambling areas in Tasmania, we can arrange that and provide support and encouragement. If you are a community member in a locality that has a gambling issue, we can arrange an educational workshop.
