This is the full report from the research project Young, in love and in danger, which explores the prevalence and impacts of teen domestic violence and abuse in Tasmania. The research provides an insight into the experiences of young people in Tasmania who have experienced domestic violence and abuse in their own intimate partner relationships when they were under 18 years of age.

The first Tasmanian study of its type, the research identifies a range of measures to better protect young people from domestic violence and abuse. These include addressing gaps in support services and legal responses, expanding the education of young people in respectful relationships and providing specialised training to the professionals who support young people.

Content warning: This report recounts experiences of serious domestic violence and abuse of young people in their intimate partner relationships when they were under 18 years of age. Readers may find the content triggering.
