Supervised Family Time

Anglicare Tasmania recognises the importance of maintaining family relationships when children are in out-of-home care.

Our Supervised Family Time service aims to facilitate enjoyable, safe and supportive contact visits between parents and child/children.

This service is available in the North and North-West of Tasmania, is a Fee for Service and referrals can only be accepted from Child Safety Service (CSS).

Where, when and how will it cost?


The meeting location can be at a local public place (such as a park, library or museum) or at the parents’ home (following a risk assessment and approval from Child Safety Services).


The visit will occur on a weekday between the hours of 9am and 5pm.


You will be charged for a minimum of 3 hours. The charge will include time for travel and transport. 24 Hours’ notice is required for cancellation, otherwise the full amount will be charged.

Only referrals from Child Safety Services (CSS) will be accepted.
