Housing Connect Front Door Service Quarterly Snapshot June 2026

Anglicare’s Housing Connect Front Door Service Quarterly Snapshot for June 2026 includes a review of the 2025/26 year.

1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026 was the second year of operation of the Housing Connect 2.0 model.

The report found that over the year, the Housing Connect Front Door responded to 52,273 enquiries, and over the year about half of all support periods involved people who had been homeless within the last 12 months.

During that time, the social housing register increased by 9.5% to 5655 applications and housing system indicators continued to deteriorate.

The report calls on governments to expand housing supply and to work to raise the rental vacancy rate towards a 3% target.
