Anglicare Tasmania’s submission to the State Budget 2026-27

Anglicare Tasmania welcomes the opportunity to provide a submission to the 2026-27 State Budget.

Anglicare Tasmania’s budget priorities come from recent research and consultation with disadvantaged Tasmanians and the Anglicare frontline team members who work with them.

Increased investment in affordable and social housing is the highest budget priority identified by Anglicare Tasmania. Maintaining funding of community services is also recommended.

Together, these measures will be offset by savings in the health and justice systems and deliver better outcomes for all Tasmanians.
