How to contact us over Christmas and the New Year.

We’re committed to supporting our clients over the Christmas period and into the New Year.
You can contact us on our freecall phone number, 1800 243 232 and/or visit an Anglicare office in person between 9am and 5pm Monday through to Friday except for the following public holidays:
- Thursday 25 December 2025 (Christmas Day)
- Friday 26 December 2025 (Boxing Day)
- Thursday 1 January 2026 (New Years Day).
Please note the following if you live in the Glenorchy or Hobart areas:
The Glenorchy office will be closed for the week commencing Monday 29 December 2025. It will re-open on Monday 5 January 2026.
The Housing Connect Front Door service and Anglicare’s Community Services that are usually delivered from 159 Collins Street in Hobart will be located nearby at Level 3, 181 Collins Street from Monday 5 January 2026.
What if I have a housing emergency?
If you have nowhere safe to sleep tonight, please call 1800 800 588 (freecall) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including on public holidays, and an on-call Housing Specialist will respond.
What if I need help with my finances?
The National Debt Helpline (1800 007 007) is available Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 4.30pm except for on public holidays.
What if I need support for alcohol and/or drug use?
The Anglicare Alcohol and other Drugs Helpline operates between 9am and 5pm on weekdays, apart from public holidays. The number to ring is 1800 161 266.
