Rental Affordability Snapshot 2025

Anglicare Tasmania has released its annual Rental Affordability Snapshot.

It found that the number of affordable rentals has declined since last year, with a 25% drop in listings and record low vacancy rates in all regions.

The lack of affordable rental properties is pushing Tasmanians into financial stress or homelessness.

We need governments to work together to deliver social housing at the scale needed in Tasmania, and we need an immediate increase in the rate of income support.
