Communities for Children (CfC) in Launceston and Tamar Valley Tasmania
Anglicare Tasmania is a proud facilitating partner of the Communities for Children (CfC) initiative in Launceston and the Tamar Valley.
CfC is based on a national social movement insisting that a positive future is the birth right of every child, not just the fortunate few.
By working together, all children in Launceston and the Tamar Valley can be:
Local non-Government Community Partners to deliver programs that nurture children and families to trust, engage and thrive.
Six Community Committees collaborate to address urgent issues confronting their communities.
Supported participation in programs and committees helps build skills and confidence of community members. Solutions and resources emerge and community ownership is integral.
In March 2021 Launceston hosted the 6th Communities for Children Conference for those working with and for children across the state and beyond.
