Anglicare Tasmania Rental Affordability Snapshot 2021

The Rental Affordability Snapshot has run annually since 2007, when Anglicare Tasmania first tested whether it was possible for people on low incomes to afford to rent a home in the private rental market.  This year we found just 8% of available properties would have been affordable for households on income support payments.  This is 3% less than in 2020. The north of the state in particular has seen a dramatic decline in the number of properties available to rent.
