Rental Affordability Snapshot Tasmania 2020

Since 2007, Anglicare Tasmania has tested whether it is possible for people living on low incomes to afford to rent a home in the private market. This year, we found just 11% of available properties would have been affordable for households on income support payments. A slight increase in stock numbers between 2019 and 2020 is mainly due to the impact of the Coronavirus on tourism and education.
