Youthcare

Youthcare is a short-term, 24/7 crisis accommodation for young men aged 13 to 2o years old.  It is located in Moonah and provides a safe place to stay while immediate needs are addressed.  Most stays are up to 12 weeks.

Youthcare is a place where young men are supported to work towards and achieve their long-term housing goals.

While at Youthcare

Residents are given their own bedroom and access to shared spaces including a bathroom, laundry, outdoor area and gym.

They are provided with meals, bedding and toiletries if needed.

Curfew

Youthcare has a nightly curfew of 9.45pm.

Young people can be away for up to 3 nights a week.  After this their bed may be offered to someone else.

Referrals

Young people can refer themselves to Youthcare by phone or dropping in.  Referrals can also be made by Support Workers, Housing Workers or another trusted adult.
